In 2020 during the first covid lockdown I created an article to be featured in two different knitting magazines. I developed a routine of simple stretches to help knitters stay active and mobile throughout the day while doing a hobby that is extremely in active.

Run With Pat for SAMH

I have hosted 2 charity 5k events for SAMH called Run with Pat. The main focus of this was my client Pat, who has struggled with mental health from childhood suffering with undiagnosed depression for decades while his brother committed suicide at a young age. Despite all this he has always been pillar of positivity within our community, encouraging all around him. He is the perfect ambassador for this event and was desperate to give back to the organisations working within our communities identifying mental health issues early to stop another person going through the struggles that Pat has faced.

Gordon Horne

Over 3 years of training Gordon we have gone beyond a PT / Client relationship and have found a friendship that will last a life time. When we started training Gordon had hardly ever touched a weight and had never found enjoyment from training, now I can't keep him out of the gym. He has managed to build his deadlift from 70kg all the way up to 180kg and build his fitness levels up to a point when he could complete a circuit to where he is now running a full 5k.

There has been a complete physical change in Gordon but mostly importantly he has found a confidence that he never knew he had. In 2022 I was lucky enough to attend Gordon's wedding to Tracy and to find out from those in attendance how much of a positive change he has made is inspirational. He was told by doctors that it would be easier to live in a wheelchair and this very quote has been the motivation for our work together not only to provide him with the tools to live life to the fullest but help change this prescription around disability.

Through our training together and Marco's hard work he has gone from his wheel hair to becoming the first disabled person to work at Glasgow Airport, travel the world and have a social life which holds has no limitations. This has been translated through our lifestyle training which has saw him:

Deadlift 75kg
Dumbbell press 22kg in each arm
Perform dips and pull-ups
Walk with 20kg + in each hand

Kirsty's 7 month postpartum journey is incredible and is the definition of our lifestyle transformation. She is not only an amazing mum to our daughter Amelia but has been able to bring back her energy, physique and strength while most importantly getting that all important self care time which is so hard to find as a parent.
