I am required by law to clearly and simply explain what personal data I collect and the reasons why I collect it.

I collect the bare minimum of personal data and use it only for the core business purposes of accounts, record keeping and the delivery of goods.

 

What is the purpose of this website?

This is the portfolio and business website of Thomas Starmore, a fully qualified personal trainer working from Energie Fitness in Cambuslang, Glasgow.

What personal data does this website collect?

Contact data, fitness and medical data and transaction data.

Contact data consists of your name, delivery address, billing address, email address, IP address and phone number. This data is collected so that I can contact you about your personal training sessions.

Transaction data consists of what you ordered, how much you paid for it and by what means you paid. I use this data to keep track of sales and the amount of training sessions that customers have paid for. I am also required by law to keep business accounts and to submit an annual tax return. The transaction data is an integral part of this process. The financial data associated with transactions goes to PayPal, and is not stored on this website.

Fitness and medical data consists of privately stored fitness plans which are generated on private pages for individual client use. I also collect medical and personal data during consultations and sessions and through the Pre-Programme Analysis Form on this website. This ensures that training sessions are fully tailored for your health and fitness needs. This data is confidential, not shared with any third parties and can be deleted on request. Medical is essential for health and safety reasons to make accurate fitness and training plans.

Directly from you when you fill in the online forms with your contact, transaction and medical details.

This Website & Cookies

This website is hosted by Flywheel, who keep the website and online data safe and secure. The website runs a Flywheel cookie which collects very basic information on the number of site visitors we have per day.

All payments are processed using WooCommerce through either Paypal. WooCommerce runs two necessary cookies on the website to enable the shop and checkout to function throughout your session.

I do not profile shopping cart behaviour, or use any data from this website for marketing or targeted ads of any kind.

If you disable Cookies in the privacy section of your browser you will still be able to access and browse the website, but you will not be able to make an order or fill in the forms, as WooCommerce cookies are required for the functionality of the checkout pages.

How Do I Store Your Personal Data?

Customer data is stored securely on the website and in my business email account, and in my tax records dating back 4 years.

Customer accounts are stored securely on the website and can be deleted on request.

Email enquiries are stored in my business email account, and are deleted along with your contact information after the enquiry has been dealt with.

How long do I keep your personal data?

If you place an order for sessions I will keep your details for 12 months after your sessions are complete and will then delete them. I will delete them sooner if you request that I do so.

UK tax laws require me to keep all accounting and transaction data for 4 years following the submission of my tax return.

Can I insist that my personal data is deleted from your records?

Yes, it is your statutory right to do so. I will delete your personal data on request, apart from any current transaction data that I must retain for tax purposes.

Do I share personal data with any third parties?

Data is passed through WooCommerce to PayPal so that your order can be processed.
This website was created on WordPress, with hosting and security managed by Flywheel, a secure and wordpress dedicated hosting company.

I do not share your personal data with any other third parties.

When Will You Hear From Me?

If you make an order you will get a confirmation email after you have completed checkout.

Once you have made an order I will email you to arrange a suitable time for your training sessions.

A customer account will be created for you if you buy a block of sessions.

If you email me or use the Contact form I will reply to your enquiry.

If you fill in the Pre Programme Analysis Form for a consultation I will email to arrange a consultation.

Customer Accounts

Customer accounts exist so that you can access extra training information tailored to you and your fitness plan. The customer account allows you to log in and view your orders and access your client page. You can request for your account to be deleted at any time you wish.
